Bike Racks

The Thule Roadway 4-Bike Hitch Carrier is a really good, dependable rack and is heavy on the security features. Its features:

• The Thule “Stay Put” cradle with detachable anti-sway cage for better stability
• Hitch Switch lever, which folds down arms when not in use and tilts carrier away for cargo access.
• Fits a 1.25” or 2” receiver.
• High strength steel construction.

As you can see, with this rack, Thule makes sure that your bike stays secure and firmly attached to your car at all times. It uses a treaded bolt instead of the standard pin to hold it to the receiver.  This ensures that the attachment remains unyielding. However, the drawback to this feature is that you cannot use a locking receiver pin, which means that you cannot protect your rack from theft. The Roadway uses rubber saddles to rest your bike on and rubber straps to secure it and protect the finish at the same time.
